Saturday Night and Avoiding the TV

04 April 2009 9:00 pm

Life so far this month is treating me rather well. Bf is working long hours but the money at the end of the month makes it all worth it.

We were refused credit on the car we wanted but that's ok. We weren't expecting it and as we looked into it further we'd have paid a further £4000 on top of the car in costs and interest making the car we wanted a full total of over £11,000. We've seen something very similar just 3 years older for a staggering £4000 LESS than the original £7000 we thought resonable. We were looking at through an online dealership a few miles away and it popped up. Knowing we can get a car we like around this price gives us the encouragement to just save for a few months and then buy it outright with no overhanging debts for the next 5 years. So it is far from being all bad news.

Matthew has finished school until April 21st. He finished happily yesterday for the easter holidays and came home with a freshly made shredded wheat chocolate nest with 2 mini eggs inside. He also made a little easter card with chicks on the front. He is getting to be quite a creative little boy. For a boy with no interest at all in writing before he started school, I have a little creative genius in the midst who is only happy when surrounded by pens and paper. That or running around outside like every other 5 year old boy.

James seems to develop more and more every day. He has got the hang of holding onto his bottle by himself and despite having a few very uncomfortable nights, he finally seems to be settling into a real night time routine once again. Last night he went down at 9pm and slept though til 3am when he likes his bottle then we all got a lay in until 8.30am. Which after being up every 40 minutes the previous night was pure bliss. He is down to having just one large nap in the day too. It's like he's getting ready for his 3 meals a day with breakfast upon waking, lunch and then a 2 hour nap, before his tea in the evening and bed again. He still has milk in between but he is doing really well.

I am not feeling the new baby move daily but every other day or so I feel a little twirling sensation low in the belly and know that all is well with the youngest family member. I am still super emotional though but it does seem to be a little better again at the moment.

My eczema is non existant now as the course of cream worked miracles as it normally does.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and continues to do so.
