Parents Evening 09 and soundtrack

05 March 2009 11:33 am

I haven't had quite so much to report on as yet this week but it seems like I never seem to stop! Time is going far too fast for my liking, it feels like I'm barely keeping up. I don't know if life does go faster as you get older, or if it's just a sign that I'm in a happy moment and that maybe I'm trying to cling onto of much of it as I can. Like Claire said in a comment the other day it seems barely yesterday that I was sharing news that I was pregnant now I find myself with an 18 week old son. I suppose I'm a little afraid of life passing me by and not making the most of these precious times.

Yesterday evening it was Matthews school parents evening and he had the greatest things said about him! I'm so proud of him. He is ahead of most of his class in reading and spelling and is constantly pushing to learn more. He wants to learn and he is loving it at school. He is a popular boy and loves to join in with everything. He looks after the younger children and wants to help those who want it. We did speak about the biting incident before half term and all his teacher could say was how out of character it was of Matthew to lash out, let alone bite and put it down to possibly copying another child who had been "play biting" on coats. Overall it was a glowing report with lots of B's for behaviour and ability so I couldn't have been more happy with that.

Bf's mum had another small operation yesterday as she had to have some polyps removed but it was a simple procedure. She had to be at the hospital for 8am and we were able to collect her at 12.20pm so it was very quick and she was able to recover at home. I've rung her today and she feels fine.

I'm finishing off with a cop out as I've seen these on a few diaries:

How it works:

Each “question” you have to answer with a song.

1. Open your ipod/iphone/itunes/mp3 player

2. Put it on shuffle

3. Press play

4. For the first question, type the song that’s playing

5. When you go to the next question, press the next button twice
