Long Entry As I Try To Keep Up

25 February 2009 1:48 pm

I feel like I have done so much in the last few days, I just don't have the time to update on here so much when I really want to.

Apologies if this entry seems a little jumpy, I've been meaning to say things since last week but have not had the time so I feel like I am a week behind and my mind is racing with things I want to write but I don't want a 10,000 word essay of an entry.

I feel that I have so much to say all the time, yet I seem to hold back on some things. Still there's a time and place for most things and some things take a little longer since I don't have the full information available just yet but I will get there someday. So for now this whole paragraph is rather meaningless to anyone other than me. :)

We do however have something very exciting coming up soon.

Our late christmas at bf's mums house will be coming up at Easter. We never did get round to it as her dad died christmas day so we are now having an easter celebration instead. I'm looking forward to it. Instead of a xmas present hunt, we'll have an easter egg hunt, then we get the big roast dinner (roast lamb not roast turkey) and some easter treats. My family have never been particularly traditional so I am looking forward to trying simnel cake. I've never tried it and I generally dislike cakes but I'll give it a go. The only cakes I'll eat are non-iced carrot cake and date and walnut cake! Probably as they seem more nutty than cakey. It also falls on bf's other grandads birthday so it's a big family celebration on their side and it will be great to be part of it.

Oh and I think with my lack of spare time, the recent repetitiveness of my diaries and the fact that no-one really reads my baby diary anymore, I may cram everything into here and just have one diary for everything. That means those who aren't so interested in the little people will be a little more bored. I apoloise for that but my kids are my life and I can't stress that enough. It will just make my life easier on the whole.

James is growing so quick and is so super in everything, that I just adore this little mite more and more by the day. He doesn't fit into 3-6 months clothing anymore at all. He is only 4 months!!! :) He just makes me laugh so much.

Going back in time a bit now, Matthew was in a bit of trouble before half term at school. On his last day, as they were tidying up to go home, Matthew lost his temper with another pupil and bit him. The school made it clear that they take such behaviour seriously and that they may look into further action as a form of punishment. Matthew was dreading going back to school after the holidays but they decided as it's a new term they will start a new slate and leave it as a warning. He has seemed much happier since he's been back. It is very out of character for Matthew to bite though. I'd expect him to push and shove a little but not bite. Still, I think the whole thing has taught him a big lesson as the whole suspense of the half term holiday had him thinking and gave him time to realise his mistake. He's being super now.

Today I stopped for stay and play at the school and he was loving it. He is a little show off and loves showing me what they do and he is such a cheerful friendly little soul, he is a little darling.

Last Thursday I bumped into ex-hubbys gf in town. Except she wasn't with ex hubby. She has left him and is now with a new man. I have never seen her looking so happy, healthy or good. It's obviously the best thing she's done for a while and I am so pleased for her. She is a nice girl and no-one should put up with that bastard so I admire her for walking away.

Saturday we went to a party. It was my aunts surprise 50th and we had a really good night. The food was great and it's the first time we've had a big family get together on my side of the family since.... well, probably since my wedding (hahaha) and it was a very nice night. Matthew enjoyed himself and became guardian to a distant relatives 2 yr old daughter for the evening. He loved looking after her and kept her amused and they kept dancing together. They were so sweet. Matthew would be a great big brother to a little sister. I can see him being so protective. :) And I would JUST LOVE to be mum to a little girl. All those lovely clothes, pony tails and such. Who's sounding all broody here huh???? Oh well, we can only do what nature allows so maybe one day he will get a little sister, maybe not. You never know whats ahead. :)
